Yellow Jackets Pressure, Depth Too Much for Visiting Senators
Yellow Jackets Pressure, Depth Too Much for Visiting Senators
Talking on his pre-game radio showWVSU Head Basketball Coach Bryan Poore mentioned a couple of things he hoped to take advantage of when the Yellow Jackets hosted Davis & Elkins Thursday night.

Watching the Senators play West Liberty Tuesday night he thought the pace of that game might leave them a little fatigued. He also noticed that D & E had trouble handling the Hilltoppers pressure defense.

Obviously Poore knows a thing or two.

WVSU ended up rolling to a 109-87 win.

The Senators managed to keep the score close for the first four minutes of the game. That was when Poore made his first five for five substitution.

Applying constant full-court pressure from the opening tip and running fresh bodies in often the Jackets steadily pulled away.

WVSU finished with 14 steals and forced 24 turnovers overall.

Sophomore Ernest Jenkins led the Yellow Jackets with 28 points while Pat Johnson-Agwu added 18 and Robert Fomby 16.

WVSU is back in action at home at 4 p.m. Saturday.
