Box Score    The Yellow Jackets trailed just 28-21 at halftime but host Notre Dame's defense stiffened in the second half to hold WVSU to just 81 yards of total offense on the way to a 48-21 Falcon victory.

    The first half saw the teams trading scores with Austin Hensley hitting Quinton Gray on a 30-yard scoring strike to counter a game-opening Notre Dame touchdown drive.

    After another Falcon score WVSU took advantage of a Notre Dame turnover to tie the score once again, this time on a one yard run by Juawan Etheredge.

    The Falcons jumped out to a two touchdown advantage shortly after that but the Jackets came back to add another score on an 80-yard drive culminationg in an 8-yard toss from Hensley to Akil Washington to close out the opening half.

    Hensley finished the day 25-51 for 254 yards.  DIonta Brown picked up 48 yards on the ground and Gray finished eith eight catches for 99 yards. Dennis Gardeck led the defensive effort with 12 tackles while Mitch Rowell added 10.

    The Yellow Jackets host Shepherd on Saturday at 1 p.m. next.
