Softball Wins Seven of Nine on Road Trip

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4      The WVSU softball team took to the road last week to compete in the Myrtle Beach Snowball Softball tournament.
      The Yellow Jackets finished their first week of play with a 7-2 mark picking up wins over King's College, Wilkes University, Rosemont College, and Gwinedd Mercy. The Jackets dropped a doubleheader to Indiana Wesleyan.
       Sydney Kaplan got of to a quick start hitting four home runs and driving in 11 in her first three games before being knocked out of the lineup due to an injury.
       Kelsey Martin was 10-for-19 at the plate for a .526 average while Victoria Crawford hit .417 for the week.
       Freshman pitcher Chelsey Parkins went 3-0 for the week allowing just two earned runs in 20.2 innings while striking out 16.
