Yellow Jackets Host Concord Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Yellow Jackets enter this week's contest with some momentum after defeating Lock Haven 19-14 in their opener.
Freshman quarterback Matt Kinnick made an impressive debut completing 24-of-35 passes for 230 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions.
The quarterbacks combined to throw seven picks in last year's meeting with the Mountain Lions in Athens.
Freshman running back Tevin Brown also came up big as he gained 129 yards on just 10 carries. That was the most yardage picked up by a WVSU back since Fabian Payne gained 138 against Seton Hill on October 1, 2011.
Brown's 57-yard scamper was longer than any run by a Jacket last season besting Josh Wade's 35 yard run against Notre Dame.
Another freshman, Quinton Gray, caught seven passes for 53 yards.
The Yellow Jackets contained the Concord ground game in last season's meeting, holding the Mountain Lions to 74 yards on 30 carries. WVSU also held an advantage in time of possession holding onto the ball for 31:59.
Last week's 451 yards of total offense was the most for a WVSU squad since the Yellow Jackets ran up 499 yards in a losing effort at Johnson C. Smith on September 3, 2011.
The Yellow Jackets have not opened a season 2-0 since 2008 when they went on to win their first five games and reach as high as #21 in the national rankings before finishing 7-3.
Concord turned the ball over five times against WVSU in last season's meeting.
