A day after letting an early lead slip away the Yellow Jacket women's basketball players showed that they had learned their lesson.

   The Jackets jumped out to a quick 19-4 lead and were not challenged after that on the way to a 68-58 win over visiting Clarion Saturday afternoon on the second day of the Wingate by Wyndham Conference Challenge at the Walker Convocation Center in Institute.

   The final margin was the smallest of the second half as WVSU ran the lead to as many as 28 points midway through the period.

   Deyahnna Styles paced the WVSU effort wth 17 points and four assists. Alexus Hobbs finished with 15 points and nine rebounds while Shealyn Shafer added 15 points.
