Box Score The Yellow Jackets held one of the top offenses in the conference and country in check for much of the afternoon Saturday but could not make an early 10-0 lead stand-up as host Notre Dame College scored 27 second half points on the way to a 41-10 victory.
WVSU was in the game right up until the end when a pair of Falcon touchdowns in the final three minutes decided the outcome.

A 77-yard punt return put Notre Dame on the scoreboard late in the first. The Falcons took a 14-10 lead going into halftime after a 14-play, 85-yard drive with 3:35 to go in the second quarter.
The squads traded punts in the first four possessions of the second half.
The Yellow Jacket offense stopped Notre Dame at the State 8-yard line and forced the Falcons to kick a field goal to make it 17-10 midway through the third.
Notre Dame closed out the period with a 43-yard scoring strike to move the margin to 24-10.
The Falcons added a field goal in the fourth and then scored the final two touchdowns after Yellow Jacket turnovers to reach the final score.
Kinnick finished with 139 yards passing and freshman
Kelvit Barret picked up 59 yards on 11 carries to lead the rushing attack.
