The Yellow Jackets used a stifling defense to defeat visiting Ohio Valley Thursday night in women's basketball action.

Senior Kashauna Cook's 14 point, 10 rebound effort paced WVSU while the Jackets held OVU to its lowest point total in nearly three years.

Jasmine Blanton and Asia-Bryanne Greenleaf contributed 13 points each and Jordan Brock 11 as WVSU improved to 5-11 overall and 5-8 in the WVIAC.

The Fighting Scots were held to 43 points by West Virginia Wesleyan on February 25, 2010.
