Alderson Broaddus defeated the Yellow Jackets 3-0 in volleyball action Tuesday night in Fleming Hall.

      The first set saw nine ties and seven lead changes before the Battlers closed it out 25-20. The Jackets pulled to within 13-16 in set two before the visitors went on an 8-1 run to take control in a 25-16 decision.

      The Yellow Jackets refused to go easily in set three fighting back from an early six-point deficit to pull to within one five times down the stretch before falling 25-23.

      Cameron Lewis paced WVSU with nine kills and Megan Lucas had 15 assists.
