Box Score        After taking a 10-point lead late into the third quarter the Yellow Jackets saw visiting Fairmont score the final 14 points of the game to take a 35-31 win Saturday at Lakin Field.

        Ricky Phillips threw for 329 yards as he completed 33 of 53 attempts while senior Landon Johnson also had a big day making 11 catches for 84 yards.

        Phillips hit Robert Jackson with a 21 scoring strike with 2:58 remaining in the third period to give WVSU (1-8 overall, 1-5 in WVIAC) its second 10-point lead of the game at 31-21.

        The Falcons (7-3, 4-3 in WVIAC) quickly responed with a thouchdown of their own with 0:07 showing in the period.

        After a Jacket punt with 6:28 left in the game Farmont marched 57 yards on seven plays, with the help of a 15 yard penalty for a late hit, and scored the go ahead touchdwon with 3:14 remaining and then shut down the WVSU offense for the win.
