Oterrious Diggins is going into his first season as West Virginia State University’s Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. Oterrious is a native of Memphis, TN. He graduated from West Virginia University in 2016 with a B.A in Business Administration/Marketing. Oterrious is the oldest of 16 siblings combined from mother and father.
Diggins got started off as a practice player for WVU. After graduating, he spent two years as the Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for Alderson Broaddus University. After Alderson Broaddus, Oterrious moved on to Paris Junior College as the same title, where he had two Region-14 All-Conference Honorees. Following Paris Junior College, he was a part of Team Thad on the Nike EYBL Circuit at the AAU level. After one summer, he was back in collegiate basketball to become the Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for Trinity Valley Community College. They had a 26-8 season and made it to the elite 8 in the NJCAA National Tournament, as well as three All-Conference athletes and several eventually earning four-year scholarships to continue to play basketball.
Oterrious has one son, Aziel Diggins, who was born on October 17, 2022, and looks forward to what he can bring to the Yellow Jackets Women’s Basketball Program!
