WVSU Football Welcomes Two Coaches in Brian Reynolds and Connor Walsh

INSTITUTE, W.Va. — West Virginia State University proudly announces Brian Reynolds and Connor Walsh to its football coaching staff, bringing two experienced coaches with backgrounds in player development, recruiting and leadership at multiple levels of college football and more.

Reynolds joins the staff after serving as outside linebackers coach at Stetson University, where he developed the position group, assisted with defensive installation and film breakdown, and contributed to recruiting efforts across Florida and nationally. Prior to Stetson, he coached defensive backs at Blinn Junior College and gained strength and conditioning experience as an intern with Texas A&M's football program. Reynolds also served in the United States Marine Corps, including as a platoon sergeant at Arlington National Cemetery where he oversaw training and leadership for Marines performing ceremonial duties. He holds a master's degree in sports management from Texas A&M annd a bachelor's degree in physical education from Bethel University.

Walsh arrives with experience coaching at multiple levels of college football, most recently serving as assistant offensive line coach at the University of Texas at El Paso. In that role he worked closely with the offensive line in drills and meetings while coordinating scouting reports, opponent breakdowns and recruiting efforts. Walsh previously coached tight ends and tackles at Minnesota State University Mankato and cornerbacks at Muhlenberg College, helping develop multiple All-American and all-conference players during his tenure. A former collegiate player at Washington & Jefferson College, Walsh holds a master's degree in organizational leadership from North Park University and a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Both Reynolds and Walsh, as well as all of Yellow Jacket Nation, look forward to bringing in and developing young men and athletes from across the country.
