BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – West Virginia State's Candace Morris was named the Mountain East Conference Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, for the sport of women's indoor track and field. She finished first in the 60 meter dash at the Marshall Invitational with a time of 7.59 seconds.
The 7.59 seconds that Morris ran in the 60 meter dash was the second-fastest time in MEC history and the fastest time in the league this season. She met the 2024 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Women's Provisional Standard in the 60 meters with her personal record time.
