BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – West Virginia State baseball's Ryan Kay was named the Mountain East Conference Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, on Monday afternoon. The junior left fielder hit .333 in three games played last week.

Kay went 3-for-9 with homeruns in back-to-back games as the Yellow Jackets went 2-1 for the week. Two of his hits were two-run jacks and his other hit was an RBI-single. In total, he drove in five runs and scored another four runs. He also reached base three times on balls.
