• 2023 D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Team

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – West Virginia State women's soccer's Esther Dhiramo and Maxima Bellscheidt were named to the 2023 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Atlantic Region Team on Tuesday afternoon. Both Dhiramo and Bellscheidt made the Second Team as two of the most accomplished players in the region at their respective positions.

Graduate forward Esther Dhiramo made her second straight appearance on the D2CAA All-Atlantic Region Second Team. She was West Virginia State's leading goalscorer with 12 this season, including four game-winners. She also provided two assists to match her points tally (26) from a season ago in which she scored 10 goals and dished out six assists. Dhiramo's 22 goals and 52 points in her two-year career are both second all-time in school history.

Junior defender Maxima Bellscheidt earned All-Region honors for the first time in her career. She started all 20 games this season and led the Yellow Jackets in minutes with 1795 played. She scored the first goal and made the first assist of her career in the same week to garner MEC Defensive Player of the Week honors late in the season. Bellscheidt was the central figure in a back line that recorded six shutouts and allowed one goal or less in 16-of-20 matches.
