BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – West Virginia State Volleyball's Diamond'Nique Young was named the Mountain East Conference (MEC) Defensive Player of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, on Monday afternoon. The junior middle blocker accounted for 30 points last week as the Yellow Jackets swept all three opponents they faced.

Young was responsible for 12 blocks, including four solo blocks, in nine sets played along with four digs. She also added 22 kills through three matches while averaging a .315 hitting percentage. She had three block solos and two block assists at Concord.
