LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – West Virginia State softball player Kasey Murphy was named Second Team All-Atlantic Region by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) when the teams were announced on Wednesday. Murphy earned a spot on the second team as a designated player after leading the Yellow Jackets in multiple batting statistical categories.

Senior Kasey Murphy garnered First Team All-MEC honors a week ago as one of the conference's top pitchers. She then became 1-of-8 players from the Mountain East Conference that earned All-Region honors from the D2CCA this week as one of the region's top hitters. Murphy impressively led the Yellow Jackets in batting average (.355), on-base plus slugging (1.074), runs (34), homeruns (8), runs batted in (27), total bases (81), slugging percentage (.653) and on-base percentage (.421) this season.
