BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Three West Virginia State University men's basketball players were named in the annual All-MEC awards list when it was released by the Mountain East Conference league offices on Tuesday. Graduate guard

Anthony Pittman were both selected on the All-MEC First Team. Meanwhile, graduate forward
Jeremiah Moore received All-MEC Second Team honors.
Abram earned All-MEC First Team honors for the third consecutive year. He was the most prolific three-point shooter in the conference with more three-point field goals made (89) than any other player and the highest three-point shooting average (3.07 per game) in the league. He recorded the seventh-best scoring average in the conference with 19.7 points per game. His 572 points scored this season ranked 16th in all of Division II and his 89 three-pointers made ranked 12th in the nation.
Abram ranks sixth all-time at WVSU for career points with 2,002 to his name. He also set modern-era school records for points scored (47), field goals made (14), and three-point field goals made (12) in a single game last season.
Pittman recieved All-MEC First Team honors for the second straight season. Categories that he ranked in the top five in the league included blocked shots per game (1.28), defensive rebounds per game (6.86), free throws made (131), rebounds per game (8.6), steals per game (2.14), total blocks (37), total rebounds (249), and total steals (62).
Pittman averaged 16.3 points per game to end up with 473 points on the season and eclipse 1,000 career points in just his third year. He also managed to register nine double-doubles during the 2021-22 season.
Moore was named to the All-MEC Second Team after being listed as an All-MEC Honorable Mention for the past two seasons. He was second-best in the conference, and ninth-best in the nation, in field goal percentage with a 64.1 percent conversion rate. He was also second-best in the league in offensive rebounds per game with a 3.41 average. His 29 total blocks was third-highest in the MEC and his 211 total rebounds was sixth from the top in the league. He picked up the most double-doubles in a season of his career with nine this year.
All 12 institutions are represented on the All-MEC teams. The All-MEC teams are selected by a vote of the league's coaches.
