SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The West Virginia State University women's soccer team placed three of its players on the 2022 Division II Conference Commisioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Atlantic Region Team when the list was released on Tuesday morning. Forward Fran Soares-Cupertino headlined as the Atlantic Region Player of the Year while midfielder Brooklyn Pritt was named to the first team and forward Esther Dhiramo made the second team.

Soares-Cupertino becomes the first Yellow Jacket to be named Atlantic Region Player of the Year. She was also the first WVSU player to be named Mountain East Conference Offensive Player of the Year when she received that honor two weeks ago. Soares-Cupertino was an All-Atlantic Region Second Team selection a season ago and is now the most decorated player in program history. She is the school's all-time leader in career goals (31) and points (74).

Pritt earned the third major individual honor of her career by being selected on the All-Atlantic Region First Team. She was named First Team All-MEC two weeks prior and Second Team All-MEC last year. Pritt was one of the founding members of the West Virginia State women's soccer program and will leave the team as the all-time career leader in assists (14).

Dhiramo followed up a First Team All-MEC award in her debut season with a Second Team All-Atlantic Region honor. She played a pivotal role in West Virginia State's run to the second round of the NCAA DII Women's Soccer Championship and contributed throughout the year with 10 goals and six assists.

Both Soares-Cupertino and Pritt will be eligible for nominations to the D2CCA All-America Team. Voting among nationwide Sports Information Directors will take place Nov. 23-28 and results will be announced shortly thereafter.
