BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – West Virginia State football's Quientin Williams was named the Mountain East Conference's Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance during the 56-38 come-from-behind upset of Concord this past Saturday.

The freshman wideout returned two kickoffs for 114 yards, including a 93-yard return for a touchdown. His kickoff return for a TD came midway through the second quarter and kept WVSU in the game as Concord was pulling away in the first half.

Williams was also the second-leading receiver for State with seven catches for 78 yards and a score. His 24-yard TD reception came at the beginning of the fourth quarter and took the wind out of Concord's sails.

Williams has seven kickoff returns for 215 yards on the season to average a league-best 30.7 yards per return.
