BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Freshman goalkeeper
Christin Walls earned Defensive Player of the Week honors from the Mountain East Conference when the awards were announced on Monday afternoon.
Walls was the obvious choice for MEC Defensive Player of the Week after her impressive performance in between the sticks versus Charleston last Friday. She face a season-high 27 shots and made a season-best 13 saves to keep a clean sheet through two overtime periods. Her clean sheet preserved a point for WVSU as the match ended in a nil-nil draw.
