BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Three Yellow Jackets earned honors from the Mountain East Conference (MEC) for the week of March 1, 2021 through March 7, 2021. Juniors Naomi Waithira (Women's Soccer) and Jenna Dufresne (Volleyball) were named MEC Offensive Player of the Week for their respective sports. Meanwhile, freshman Abigail Wild was named MEC Player of the Week for women's tennis.

• Women's Soccer: Junior midfielder Naomi Waithira earned Offensive Player of the Week honors from the MEC after scoring a hat-trick in a 5-1 win over Glenville State on Friday. [Official MEC Announcement]
• Volleyball: Junior outside hitter Jenna Dufresne was named the MEC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after posting 38 kills and four service aces in two matches played last week. [Official MEC Announcement]
