SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- The Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association announced their selections for All-Atlantic region first and second teams in women's soccer today. West Virginia State forward Fran Soares-Cupertino was honored with a spot on the second team. 

Soares-Cupertino was the leading scorer for the Yellow Jackets this year with 13 goals (14th in Division II), two assists and four game-winning goals. She was also given a second team All-Mountain East Conference nod and was selected as MEC Player of the Week twice. She had a goals per game average of 0.81 which was second in the MEC and 20th in Division II.

The D2CCA is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and awards All-Region and All-American awards in multiple sports across division II athletics.
