Jackets defeat OVU

West Virginia State University pounded out 16 hits and took advantage of 5 Ohio Valley University errors to earn the 14-6 win at Cal Bailey Field. Trevor Sampson had 4 hits followed by Connor Slagill and Brett Christian with 3 each. Kipp Brewer picked up his 1st win of the season for the Yellow Jackets.

WVSU improved to 9-12 overall while the Fighting Scots fall to 4-17. The Yellow Jackets travel to the Northern Panhandle this weekend to play MEC Members West Liberty University and Wheeling Jesuit University in a pair of doubleheaders.
