Saturday Prediction: Cool and Cloudy With a Chance of Points, Lots of Points
While the weather is expected to cool down for Saturday's 1:00 p.m. kickoff between West Virginia State and visiting Concord don't look for the Yellow Jacket offense to follow suit.

Coming off of last week's 61-42 win over Kentucky State fans can reasonably hope to see the point parade continue for WVSU.

First, this series traditionally produces high scoring contests. The Yellow Jackets have won the last two years by scores of 47-29 and 52-45. Over the last 10 seasons teh winner has averaged 42 points.

Secondly, and this is particularly good news for WVSU fans, the 1-5 Mountain Lions feature by far the worst defense in the Mountain East Conference this season.

Concord is giving up 42.8 points and 535.3 yards per contest.

Meanwhile WVSU is third in scoring averaging 32.3 points and third in yardage per game at 441.5.

Faustino Saucedo continues to put up strong numbers since stepping into the starting role. He is 86-of-141 passing, 61 percent, for 1,173 yards and eight touchdowns versus just four interceptions.

Either Kyle Akin or Adam Fulton will be under center for the visitors.

Fulton has played by far the most this season and is 80-of-143 for 877 yards and nine touchdowns against four interceptions. Fulton started last week's loss to Glenville State
and has hit 11-of-34 for 136 yards while throwing five interceptions.

Sophomores Calil Wilkins and Dylan Lucas pace the WVSU running attack.

Wilkins has carried 107 times for 643 yards with Lucas picking up 344 yards on 59 attempts.

Freshmen Kris Copeland and Josh Maxwell have shared backfield duties for the Mountain Lions.

Copeland has 261 yards on 64 carries while Maxwell has 200 on 62 runs. Sophomore wide receiver Isaiah Bowman saw his first action in the backfield last week and ran for 101 yards on 13 carries.

Tyrell Henderson, Zach Pate, and A.J. Barrette are the Yellow Jackets' top receivers.

Henderson has made 34 catches for 546 yards and five touchdowns, Pate has 28 catches for 345 yards, and Barrette has 23 for 376.

Sophomore Tywan Pearce and junior Brandon Plyler each have 25 receptions for Concord with Pearce picking up 307 yards and Plyler 297. Copeland is third with 13 for 165 coming out of the backfield.

Senior linebacker Joe Stoneman leads the WVSU defense with 61 tackles, including seven tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks, followed by senior safety Moises Valcarcel with 55.

Senior linebacker Zach Malone leads the Mountain Lion defense with 64 tackles.
