LeFevre was captain and co-captain of Yellow Jackets basketball squads and a West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Commission All-Conference and All-American while averaging 25 points per game as a center.

He scored more than 1,000 points while playing at State and later was a member of a U.S. Air Force basketball team. He was later a bank official in Albany.
