Sheena Smithers was born on June 17, 1982 to Mike and Patty Smithers and is the youngest of 6 children. She attended Shoals Elementary, Elkview Middle School and Herbert Hoover High School, where she received numerous sports awards before entering West Virginia State University.

 During Sheena’s time at WVSU, her softball record speaks volumes to her athletic abilities and the commitment to her team. She received Special Honorable Mention for two straight years, WVIAC All-Conference 1st Team and was acknowledged as WVSU Female Athlete of the Year for 2002 and 2004. She was also one of the members of the first Women’s Golf Team in 2005.  At WVSU, Sheena holds the following statistics:  ranked 2nd in most triples (8), ranked 3rd in most stolen bases (27), ranked 2nd in walks (47), ranked 3RD in most RBI (122), ranked 5th in runs scored (89), ranked 2nd in total bases (223), and had a total of 15 home runs in 155 games played.

 Sheena graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications. Following graduation, she joined her well known family business “The Smokehouse”.

 She married Josh Wolfe in September 2008 and they are the proud parents of Clare Catherine, born in December of 2010. The family attends Grass Lick Baptist in Kenna, West Virginia. While Sheena enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing with her husband, being a mother is her greatest pleasure in life. She will always be a fan of WVSU sports, especially softball.
