Moore later worked as an assistant athletic director and head women's basketball coach at Five Towns College in Suffolk County, N.Y. As a member of the Yellow Jackets basketball team, he was WVIAC Second Team All-Conference. During his senior year, he was WVIAC First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Tournament and First Team All-American as the Yellow Jackets finished as runners-up in the NAIA national tournament.
