Aheart attended St. Albans High School where he lettered in football, baseball, basketball and track. He was captain of those teams during his senior year and was a High School All-American honorable mention.
At State, Aheart was captain of the football and baseball teams in his senior year. He was a member of the 1968-69 Yellow Jackets football team which won the WVIAC conference title.
Aheart was later vice president of Housing and Facilities Management of the Community Renewal Team of Greater Hartford, Conn.
