Carl was born on January 5, 1979 in Wilmington, Delaware to Carl and Reesie Chadband.
He graduated from Salem High School in Salem, NJ and headed to the great state of
West Virginia.
Carl not only made an immediate impact on the athletic department but on the whole
campus of WV State. In addition to the basketball records, he was the Basketball Team
Co-Captain and lettered in football and track. Carl was also the Student Government
President; Mr. WVSC; Resident Assistant; member of Senior Leadership Society; Who’s
Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges; and Omicron Delta Kappa.
He received his B.S. Degree in Education from WV State in 2002.
Carl gave his life to the Lord at age 16 and became a Tri-Founder of Wildfi re Ministries
at WV State with Mark Tatum and William Lipscomb, II which helped lead hundreds of
college students to Christ.
He is the Chief Operating Offi cer for the Kanawha Institute for Social Research & Action
Inc. (KISRA). Mr. Chadband has extensive experience developing partnerships between
non-profi ts and federal and state agencies. He has managed employment programs
that targeted ex-off enders and non-custodial fathers. He also has experience in media
and marketing as well as technology management.
Carl is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
He is married to his college sweetheart, Krista, and blessed with two beautiful children Ameris Talia and Karl Jared Chadband.
